IT Mobility

The thrust of Red River's IT Mobility practice is to provide our clients with as much flexibility as possible while minimizing any decline in computing and communication power.

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI):  Combining the low cost, simplicity and efficiencies of thin-client, server-based desktop architecture with the personalization benefits of individual PC desktops, VDI is seen by many Red River clients as a solution that provides benefits to multiple shareholders.

VDI installations by Red River free organizations from the headaches and costs involved in securing, maintaining, upgrading and replacing PCs.  A virtual desktop design offloads data, storage and compute capacity from the individual users workspace and centralizes it in the data center.  This increases security and reduces the probability of data loss.  Security is also enhanced because of the lack of resident information that resides on the virtual desktop.

Virtual Server Infrastructure (VSI):  Through our deployment of virtual server infrastructures, Red River provides our clients with incredibly fast provisioning and recovery.  Virtual servers, essentially data files that can be easily transferred from one site to another, enable the inexpensive implementation of Continuity of Operations Planning/Disaster Recovery Planning (COOP/DR) solutions.

Cellular:  Red River can provide Cellular Device Lifecycle, a valuable service to any company that struggles with costly, complex and restrictive mobile plans and device contracts.  You get a single bill and a single point of contact (us) for all mobile-related matters, even if your company or agency has arrangements with multiple wireless carriers and device makers.
