NetComm’s Beacon Software-as-a-Service, Powered by Red River, Receives FedRAMP “Authority to Operate”
CLAREMONT, N.H. – February 24, 2016 – New Hampshire-based Red River, a leading technology integrator, announced today that it provides the services and technology foundation powering NetComm’s Beacon Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), which recently received an Agency Level FedRAMP Authority to Operate (ATO) sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This recent certification marks the first woman-owned small business to achieve a FedRAMP ATO and showcases the depth and breadth of Red River’s Services portfolio and organization. It also highlights Red River’s growing Cloud expertise and expansive offering of Cloud-based solutions and services.
“Our partnership with Red River Services has been one of the keys to our success of our Beacon Dashboard SaaS offering, and we’ve counted on their support and expertise throughout our FedRAMP certification process,” said John Graves, chief visionary officer at NetComm. “Red River and the expertise they provide as a leading technology integrator within the federal government space has been invaluable throughout this effort.”
Red River facilitates rapid adoption of Cloud-based delivery models into the solution portfolios of government agencies and enterprise businesses by bringing leading technology and business disciplines along with service and solutions experience. Red River Technical, Professional, and Managed Services assisted NetComm to transform its Beacon solution from a traditional enterprise system into a FedRAMP compliant SaaS offering. The Beacon data analytics toolset is designed to help agencies gain business intelligence from business tasks, including budget and HR workflows. The SaaS solution draws upon several Red River capabilities from planning, architecture and design, to implementation, on-going security, operations and compliance monitoring. Red River’s operational and technical understanding of Cloud solutions, government IT and federal contracting were vital to achieving the FedRAMP ATO. A 24×7 Network Operations Center provides ongoing support and continuous monitoring including help desk, systems administration and access, along with the foundation to enable NetComm to build, deploy and support the service.
“NetComm’s FedRAMP authorization is especially rewarding for our company as it demonstrates Red River’s value as a true technology integrator,” said Paul Krein, vice president, digital and cloud solutions for Red River. “NetComm understands their tools, traditional IT and the value proposition they bring to their customers. Our partnership allowed us to combine our experience and expertise to help NetComm transform their solution into a secure, compliant, Cloud-based service that brings value to government agencies.”
